It's New Years Eve....

and a fitting time for a New Years post!

What did we accomplish in 2009:

• Cart completed his first Marathon in the 2nd Annual Donna Deegan Breast Cancer Marathon
• We celebrated our 3rd anniversary along with Cart's parents for their 40th anniversary.
• Cart ran in the first ever MS Mud Run
• I started scrapbooking and making cards
• I celebrated my 28th birthday and had my 10yr high school reunion
• We were put in contact with a wonderful couple who donated their embryos to us that we adopted.
• We put a new roof on the house
• We took a trip to Seattle to visit my bestest friend Sarah and meet her little boy Wyatt for the first time and we met the wonderful couple and two of their little girls.
• We installed a brand new AC
• We went through the process for an FET and sadly our little embies didn't make it.
• I escaped reality to see Sarah in her new home in Northern Louisiana and had time to reflect and talk with her
• We had a quiet Thanksgiving
• We had a wonderful Christmas with our family and friends

And tonight we will ring in the New Year with Cart's bestfriend Dave and our godsons!

What do we hope to accomplish in 2010:

Family:

We always hope for our miracle and we pray daily for one. But we always remember that we have each other and make the most of it.

Home:

We have a few projects lined up for this year:

• Build storage in the garage (this is the first one of the New Year)
• Remodel the guest Bathroom

Our resolutions as a couple:

• Be better at the organization and clutter.
• Note where every penny is spent
• Weekly Menu Plans

My Resolutions/Goals:

• Lose another 20lbs this year by making it to the gym 3x/week
• Make a card for everything that requires a card....No Store bought cards.
• Try to make all gifts for the year
• Do at least one scrapbook page a week
• Learn how to sew
• Go back to school.

Cart's Goals:

• Run 2 Marathons and the MS Mud Run
• More DIY house projects (he thinks they are fun)

Scraproom

After everything that happened we decided to start focusing our time on "other" things than really trying to have children. The first thing on that list was my scraproom. Over the last month we painted my room, bought and put together new storage and this weekend built a desk. BTW, never demolish your craft/scrap room 2 weeks before Christmas if you still have gifts to make. That was a bad idea.

Today Cart and I went to Tar.get and Ho.me De.pot to get all the materials needed for the desk. I really like this Pot.te.ry Ba.rn desk

While I was googling it I found Jenny's DIY how to on this very desk. We made our own modifications, used her size but changed a few things. One thing we did to ours at her suggestion was back the shelving with wood to make it sturdier. Here are a few pictures of our project. Once it is completely finished I will post how we did ours step by step. Thanks Jenny for the guide :)

Merry Christmas

I am very blessed this Christmas. I have a wonderful husband whom I love dearly and a great life. God is truly amazing and one day he will bless us even more. For now we are content and happy.

Christmas with Friends and Family

Last night Cart and I went to the H's for Christmas with the H family and Cart's parents. Cart's parents and the H's have been friends for years over 30. The H's son D is Cart's best friend and his son is our godson...but we consider all the boys our godchildren.

When we get together with the H's it is a great time. Lots of laughs and stories of times past. It is a great time to spend with them. This Christmas gathering is a tradition and when I met Cart I was invited that Christmas. Back then it was a progressive dinner in which we traveled from house to house for food and gifts. At each house was a different food...appetizer, dinner, dessert. It was lots of fun. Over the last few years as D's family has grown with the 4 boys it is much harder for the progressive dinner. So we all gathered at D's parents house for dinner, fellowship and gifts.

We had a great time. Cart's parents and the H's are a hoot. And when Cart and D get together well lets just those guys are special. I talked with D's sister V about doggies and lots of fun stuff.

It takes us a little bit to get through gifts. All the boys went first so they would have their toys to play with as we opened gifts and talked. We had 10 adults to get through and it is lots of fun.

Tonight we are doing Christmas with my dad and stepmom and we'll have family events on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

Christmas without Kids

This won't be a somber post. But a fun one :)

This is our 6th Christmas together. In those 6 years with it being just us no kids we have NEVER been able to keep gifts a secret until Christmas.

Our first Christmas as a couple we gave each other our gifts on Christmas Eve after church. Our 2nd and 3rd Christmas we did the same thing. Now on our 6th Christmas together we couldn't even keep it until then.

We've already exchanged gifts. For us that is Christmas without kids. Right now all the money we'd spend on kids we spend on each other. So come the time when we have kids we may each get one gift from the other.

So what did we get for Christmas?
Well I got Cart a new PS3 with 2 games he wanted. He'll also get a garmin foot pad for running (when it is in stock).

Now what did I get? A sewing machine, Photoshop, a new cartridge for my cricut, and lots of scrapbooking stuff! Oh and a new patio set for the deck! But we've been waiting since summer for that particular set to go on sale.

I still have a few stocking stuffers for Cart left to give him....well actually buy him so maybe that will wait till Christmas!

The postive note is we can't keep secrets from each other.

Weekly Menu Plan

We were so busy this weekend that we forgot to do our menu plan so we are just "wingin" it this week. Cart is a little lost on this aspect so hopefully we'll get through it.

Great Weekend

We had a very busy weekend around here. When I went back to work after my 2 week hiatus I changed my availability. I now only work Monday through Friday and the 1 Sunday a month I am required to work. So I now have off every weekend with Cart! I'm loving it.

Saturday my mom came over and we had a baking day. We made lots of cookies and bread. It was a perfect day as it rained NON stop all day. While mom and I were baking Cart painted my scraproom. I love the color, especially with the white baseboards. I'm starting to think crown molding in that room. Afterward Cart and I braved the rain to go exchange our movie at block.buster.

Sunday we did our normal grocery routine and managed to only spend $33. I love those weeks, considering our weekly budget is $75. Then we put the lights on the house and then relaxed. I had a farewell dinner with some girls from work at a Japanese restaurant and it was yummy. Afterwards I went to Bru.sters (an ice cream place) and in the middle of December the line was ridiculous. Cart and I were so exhausted from the weekend we crashed early! But, didn't sleep well. So let's talk about the weather.

Remember in October when we had our A/C replaced! Well we actually had to use the A/C yesterday because the outside temp was upper 70s low 80s but the humidity was crazy. So I turned on the A/C to our usual of 76. It stayed 78-80 in the house all night. We were extremely hot while trying to sleep. Thankfully the company was able to come out this morning and found a small leak of refridgerant. He is currently finishing up and our house will be cool again especially with the 80 degree temps we expect today.

This week will be busy trying to get my room back together so I can finish Christmas gifts before our extended family Christmas get together on Saturday.

1. I'm a very fickle person. I can change my mind a lot. Which also makes me very indecisive about things

3. I'm a POAS (pee on a stick) addict. Yes OPKs/HPTs yup that's right. But I like OPKs better because it's the only time I see those fabulous 2 lines.

4. My family is filled with drama and well I try to keep out of it thus ignoring my family at times.

5. I want to move out of J-ville and into the mountains. I'd settle with South Carolina or Tennessee, but I can't convince Cart on this move just yet.

6. I have just 3 semesters left to get my degree and I just can't bring myself to go back and finish because I want to be a SAHM and don't think spending the money on a degree serves a purpose.

7. I love to travel. I love going to new places and exploring the area.

8. Cart and I both have laptops and it is a funny site when we are sitting side by side in the evening on the computers. Yes we are silly and message each other on FB.

9. I used to be able to eat anything I wanted and not worry about my weight. Now not so much.

10. I love fall and leaves and would love a large pile of leaves to jump into.

Decking the Halls

We have finally decorated our house just a bit and I thought I'd share some pictures. We didn't put up everything and are actually getting rid of some things this year. I just wanted to share a few pictures. We still have to put up a few things and the lights on the house but these are the main decorations.

Weekly Menu Plan

Last week didn't go exactly according to plan. We followed the plan on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday we didn't have the Ham Steak, Cart had a craving for winds so we went to our favorite wing place for dinner. Thursday we decided on leftovers as we were both tired. Friday Cart had a lean pocket and I had soup that was in the freezer. On Saturday we put our Omaha Steaks on the grill. And today we are sticking to burgers, corn and beans.

For the week of Dec 7th through the 13th here is what we have planned.

Why Me?

One of the ladies on the IVF board I belong to made a post about "why me"? Which is a question a lot of people going through IF often ask. This is what she posted

"why me?" to "what now?" "Why me?" is a question borne of frustration (which we all have been); "What now?" is a question filled with expectation. "Why me?" anguishes over why a situation happened; "What now?" anticipates what God will do next. Focusing on the what instead of the why fills us with hope. If we focus on what rather than why we will discover our answers will be much more satisfying."

When she posted this it really made me think. I've been angry with God lately and asking why me/why us. This is my own personal struggle and one I don't share with anyone close to us. Because it is my struggle and one I need to work through. I actually felt she was talking to me. So instead of being angry with God I'm going to rejoice in what he has given me/us and ask What Next?

Right now this is What Next entails:
We will pursue adoption. I'm still very fascinated with the Philipines and every time I read about another blogger's little boy who they adopted from the Philipines I'm even more fascinated. Am I saying we'll adopt from there, no not right now. Could we, maybe. We have talked about adoption and that we want to pursue it but not now. We are taking time for us and to focus on us and our marriage. Many people don't realize what IF does to a marriage. Sometimes it breaks it down and others it makes the marriage stronger. For us it does both, more of the stronger though.

Before we even consider adoption we want to be as close to being debt free as possible. This would take us about 4yrs and would leave us just our mortgage. Before Cart and I got married the pastor who did our marriage counseling during the financial discussion recommended Da.ve Ram.sey's Total Money Makeover. I've read the book in the past and we've applied some things but didn't fully take it on. We'll be totally taking it on come Jan 1st. We are taking baby steps in December to get us there but we'll officially be there come the beginning of the year.

When we do consider adoption we'll consider all aspects: international, domestic infant, foster to adopt? We had previously chosen international because we didn't want to face the heart ache of a birth mom changing her mind or a child being given back to their parents. But now that I've seen others go through their adoption journey and it be happy I am more optimistic and hopeful. Also we've faced so much with IF that I think we can handle anything.

Right now we pray that God will bless us with with our own little miracle.

Blog Direction

I have decided to keep up with our blog. I like journaling about what we are up to with everything not related to baby making. So I will keep the blog as is same title and everything because one day we will have children. So the journey is our life up to children. I'll talk about home improvement projects, finances, couponing, working out, baby making (we are always trying/practicing on our own), vacations, Carts marathons etc. So enjoy.

What have we been up to other than Thanksgiving? Well we will be working on projects around the house. You remember the posts of all the projects outside completed in the last year? Well it is time to start working on the inside projects.

First on the list, creating my ultimate scraproom. I have really gotten into scrapbooking and making cards. With this scrap space I'll be making cards to sell on et.sy (I'll post my store once it is up and running). I hope to never buy a store bought card again. So this past week I have searched the internet for storage options, desk options etc. We went to Ho.me Dep.ot and I picked out a color called Bleached Denim. It is a darker blue which will make the room look smaller most likely but I LOVE the color. Mich.aels had the storage cubes I came across 55% off on Thanksgiving/Black Friday. So I got those and my fabulous in-laws bought the making memories shelf as my early christmas gift. :) All of it was half off which is great.

Then in searching for desks I fell in love with the Pot.tery Ba.rn craft desk but it is well out of the budget for this room. So I actually came across a blog of a lady who made one herself. All for a fraction of the cost. So Cart has said he would make me one. :) This will most likely occur after the holidays, maybe.

Cart and his dad this weekend worked on staining our deck. We've put this off for months and it is almost done. Just one section needs a second coat and it is done. I'll post pics of this in a future post. Need to take pics of it.

Now that I'm almost over this horrid cold I had, I'll be getting back into the gym this week. I have changed my availibility at work to Monday through Friday and my one required Sunday a month. This will allow better scheduling of my gym visits. I have missed Zumba so much and I'll be able to go to 3 of the 4 classes each week. I'm still in the 170 range which is great. Just about 35 more to go.

Christmas will be here before we know it and then Carts first marathon of the year. He will be running the Disney Marathon on Jan 10th.

Still Here

I'm still here. I've unfortunately been out of comission this week. I caught a cold while in Louisiana and it's hitting me hard. One of those you have to wait it out. So I'll be back with changes next week.

A Deal I have to Share

I love great deals! This one appeared while I was in Louisiana. Sarah needed to go to the mall to look for something. While we were there we stopped in Bath and Body Works. I noticed they had buy 3 get 3 free on their lotions and shower gels. I asked if they had this deal all over the country and was told yes and given a coupon. Have I ever said how much I love coupons. This one was for $10 off $30.

Yesterday Cart and I made a last minute trip to the mall so I could take advantage of this deal. So I bought 6 bottles of Lotions/shower gel and 3 bottles of anti-bacterial foaming soaps.
The total before discounts and coupon was $78.

I paid $33.71 after discounts and coupons. And they gave me another $10 off $30.

100th and other tidbits

Wow 100th post! I was hoping I would have better news than a tidbits post but this is all you get. How about bullets today?

• I am okay. Thank you for all your support and prayers!
• I had a wonderful trip to see Sarah. Louisiana has some pretty country.
• We have mentally started moving forward but are emotionally still broken.
• I will be focusing on a new project of creating my ultimate scrapbook room. As that is my happy place.
• Cart will be focusing on some projects we are planning. I'll be helping with things I can help with but for the building and such he'll be working on those.
• There are some other things in the works but at this time we wish to keep that to ourselves. Unfortunately I can say it doesn't not have anything to do with children.
• I'm not sure where to take my blog. I could leave it as our journey to a child which right now we leave to God. It could happen next month or 4 yrs from now. Do I keep the blog going and just blog about our life and what we have going on as it will lead to a child one day? Lots to think about on that front.
• Financially....hmmm that could be a direction to take our blog as money is the reason our journey to a child is at a stand still. We are considering trying the Da.ve Ram.sey Money Makeover or at least parts of it.

So stay tuned as to the direction we'll be taking things.

The Official Update

As I was laying on the massage table I thought man if they called me about the embies I wouldn't be able to hear the phone. So after the massage I was nice and relaxed, looked at my phone and thought no news is good news. I took the "valium" substitute.

We got to the clinic one of the nurses took me back to the room and said they just needed clothes off waist down. Then our coordinator knocks and says Breen don't undress. Dr. S wants to talk to you about the embies before we start.

We go in and they sit us down and explain that basically the embryos did not survive the thaw. There is more to it than that...but this is really all I want to explain to anyone who isn't family. We are shocked that both did not survive and are still trying to make sense of it all.

Tomorrow I will be headed to Louisiana to visit Sarah. I am already off and we feel that I would go crazy (not literally) being in the house by myself while Cart is at work. So I'll spend a few days with Sarah and her little man.

I want to say once again thank you to our donor couple for the chance you gave us to be parents. And thank you to all of my readers/friends/family for your continued support and prayers.

I will continue to update our blog with what is happening with us as we move forward to become parents...but may change the name or move to a new blog.

Ouchie!

When we started the Progesterone injections on Wednesday we started with my "good" hip. The injection goes just into the muscle basically between the butt and lower back but a little more to the side. So I ice with 2 ice cubes until it is numb and I really don't feel the injection.

Last night same routine but this time we did the "bad" hip. There is a mark where the injection went and then it hurts like a bruise all the way around the side. I'm not sure we'll be able to use this side again.

The story behind this hip is a month after we where married I was rear-ended. When I slammed on the breaks it messed up the muscles in my hip and my IT band. I also have a herniated disc from it. I don't have problems regularly with it...but just the occasional flare ups. Basically the muscle back there tightens and then my IT band gets really tight. The IT band is I think a ligament band that goes down the side of your leg from hip to knee. Another term used to classify this injury is Bursitis.

Anyway, the "bad" hip now feels like a big bruise and hurts a little to walk. In the end this little pain will be so worth it.

Last Shift

Today was my last shift at work until the Monday after Thanksgiving. I could have worked tomorrow night as the shift manager but would rather spend the weekend getting the house organized and cleaned. So it was my last one until that Monday.

Sunday I'm going out for adult beverages with some girls from work as my last hurrah before the big day. :)

It has started to sink in today that in just a few days I'll be PUPO. I've had several people ask me if I'm nervous, excited, anxious etc. Up until today I have felt this calmness like God was putting his hand on my shoulder and all was calm. But today the anxiety is setting in. I keep thinking questions in my head and want to pick up the phone and ask our coordinator all the questions but I really want to be positive. So no phone calls.

We have a semi-busy weekend planned. Tomorrow I'm getting my hair colored and highlighted for the last time until the Doc says it's okay. I'll continue to get it cut but no coloring. Several months ago I made the decision to go back towards my natural color to avoid the every 8 week coloring. Anywho, on Saturday Cart has the end of season football party. I'll most likely go with him but not sure. We'll spend the rest of the day cleaning up around the house. Sunday hopefully we'll make it to church and I hope to get into my scrap room. We'll also make it to Block.buster so that I can get some movies for every day through the following Friday.

So just 4 wake-ups and transfer Day will be here.

A whole new World

No not the song from Aladin...my life is now a whole new world for the next 5 days :) Our new regime is

1 Estrace by mouth in the AM
2 Estrace Vaginally one in the AM and one in the PM
1 Medrol
1 Doxycycline twice a day
1 baby asprin
2Ml Progesterone injected into my muscle. For this shot I ice the area until it is numb, Cart does the injection, and then I apply a warm compress or use the heating pad. The needle used for the Progesterone injection is HUGE!

Lots of things to remember.

1 Week

It's now exactly 1 week until the transfer. I had a lot of trouble sleeping last night thinking about it. So I'm quite tired and have to be to work in a little while.

Today I've been thinking about our donor couple and their little ones. As the week progresses I'll be thinking about them more as they have given us an amazing gift, our little snowbabies. We are truly blessed to have met them and have them part of our lives.

I'll be working everyday this week but when at home I'll be preparing for the 3-4 days I'm laying on the couch. The house isn't a wreck but all the "deep" cleaning needs to be handled and I'm working on freezer meals for the next 2weeks. So we'll be busy with that.

And on a really nice note Cart is done with football. While I love that he got involved with our godson's team it was hard for him being gone 3 nights a week and for a good portion on Saturdays. It will be a different story when it is our children as I'll be out there too :)

Shopping Frugally

I've been worrying about Christmas this year and how we will afford Christmas gifts for our families. Not that we can't afford it but just the thought of me being out of work for 2 weeks I knew I would need to stretch the Christmas budget.

This week at Target (this sale ends today) they had Wii games buy 2 get 1 free. On Targets Website they had coupons for Wii games $10 off 2 games. So we bought 4 games, used 2 coupons and got one of the games free. We had coupons for 2 other childrens toys as well.

We spent about $50 for all 5 boys in our extended family for Christmas. In past years when I wasn't watching what we were really spending our "budget" per child was about $25. I can still get them a toy/product in that price range while on sale and with a coupon.

We also got a few other things. Cart's razors blades were on clearance from $13.50 to $6.50 so we bought 2 of those. They had their Brita pitchers on sale for $18 and I had a $5 off coupon. They also had another item on clearance but I believe that person reads our blog so we'll keep that a secret :) but is was a product normally around $20 on clearance for $5.

Cart and I still have each other to shop for and our parents. Other gifts I'm making this year. So we'll save some money on that part too.

PERFECT

Is exactly what the doctor said as soon as he could see my uterine lining! He said it was 12.4 and triple striped (I'm pretty sure that is what it's called). He even showed it to me with the 3 white lines.

Then our coordinator went over the meds with me and I have found out that I've been taking the Estrace incorrectly. The calendar says "Estrace 3/day" so I was taking the 3 per day all at one time. They were only 2mg tablets so I figured such a low dose that I was suppose to take them at once. Wrongo. So that has been causing my horrid headaches. Now I'll be taking them with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

We went over the rest of the meds and I do my last PIO shot the day of transfer! I switch to suppositories the next day but no more painful shots after the day of transfer.

With the embies being 5 day Blasts they will be thawed the morning of transfer and the transfer day is the 16th at Noon!

An Extra Day Off

I'm so excited to have an extra day off this week. I am suppose to be at work right now, however they would have sent me home after 2.5hrs due to overtime. So I choose to get my shift covered.

So today I'm taking advantage of this day. I'm going to get a desperately needed pedicure, going to the pharmacy, Home Depot to get more gas for our grill (we have 2 tanks, one on the grill and the back up and they are both out) and then home to do stuff around the house including my coupon book being organized (I shudder thinking about it). I may even try to sit at my scrap table and work on some cards. I love days off in the middle of the week.

As of now I technically have only 6 days left of work before the transfer. It is getting closer and closer. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.

Estrace

I have been on Estrace since Friday. 2 pills per day and still 10 units of Lupron. Well today estrace was upped to 3 pills per day. I could really tell that the dosage was upped. About an hour after taking them I have got the worst headache. It has lasted all morning. I'm not sure I really like the daily headaches. But I keep reminding myself the end result will totally be worth it. Just get through the next week and 6 days!

2 Weeks...Happy Halloween

We are just 2 weeks away from the transfer. In the last week or so I have been craving a lot of sweets. Not sure why...Could it be that my body/mind is gearing up for 9 months of "healthy" eating. I normally eat healthy or at least watch what I eat. But let's face it I work in a restaurant. If you have ever worked in one you know what we do...we graze. A fry here and chip there. Oh is that food "dead", can I have a bite?

So I've eaten more candy, sodas, and just plain crap the last week or so. I'll be getting back on track the next 2 weeks so that I can be a healthy eating momma. I'm slowly weening myself off caffeine. I'm not sure what I'll do without my sweet tea.

Today is Halloween and I'll be working. I get to go dressed in my Gator gear. On my way to work I'm dropping Cart off at a Florida/Georgia party and we are hoping that I'm done extremely early tonight so I can join him. After the party we are heading to a halloween party for a little bit. I'll post pics in the coming days.

You May Laugh at Me

So I really thought that I was getting one of my wonderful sinus infections. I get them all the time.

Well I'm laughing at myself. I was so tired today going into work that I decided to stop and get a Cherry Coke to help wake me up. We don't usually keep soda of any kind in the house. Well lo and behold after drinking it my headache of 2 days goes away. It wasn't my sinuses it was the lack of caffeine for 2 days. Wowza!

Sick?!?

It looks like I have caught whatever little bug has been traveling through J-ville. It started last night and today I feel like utter poo. I went to the doctor to get some meds and all he said was curl up on the couch and don't move for 2 days. It wasn't really my doctor just the PA. So now my dilemma is to go ahead and take the doxycycline that is meant for the 6 days before transfer now and get it refilled or just wait this crap out.

I have to work for the next 3 nights so during the days I can lay around until it's time to go to work. I really don't need this.

Sweet Aunt Flo

Remember my post of Phase 1 complete...About a week and a half before I stopped BCPs I got what I thought was my last dear 'ole Aunt Flo. Well to my surprise 3 days after stopping the BCPs I get what I suspect is Aunt Flo.

I spent the last week at work bragging that my last one was the last one I was gonna get for at least 10months. Boy was I wrong.

So this morning I called our IVF coordinator to talk about our sonogram, lab tests and I ask "were we expecting me to get a period after stopping BCPs?" She said yes that she forgets sometimes to tell some people.

All I can say is my poor hubby. I'm sure I've been miserable to live with the last week. I've been moody and emotional. But he says he understands and just gives me my space :)

The sonogram is scheduled for Nov 6th. At this appt they will look at my lining to make sure it is looking good for the transfer. At this point this is the only sonogram to check the lining but there is the possibility to have another before the transfer.

I'm a Sucker

Yup that's me. I have this problem saying No. It is quite annoying sometimes. Tonight is one of those times. I was working a Key Management shift tonight from 4-10 and towards the end of the night my manager asks me are you the Mid tomorrow (meaning are you working 10am to 10pm tomorrow?)? No sir I say it's my day off. But I'll go ask B for you. Nope B has plans tomorrow. So before I'm ready to leave that manager is talking with our GM on the phone and they come up with a deal to get me to work. I of course can't refuse, thinking one day it will benefit me and they would help me out. So on a day I was looking forward to having off I am working all day. :(

So this week I'll be working overtime. In the end it is probably good that I am working since I'll be taking off 2 weeks in November for the transfer. But 40 hrs in 2 weeks, Yuck!

Phase 1 complete

Phase 1 of Birth Control is complete. Only 18 more days of Lupron. Those shots aren't too bad just the way they mess with my body is annoying.

I do start Estrace next Thursday.

It is kinda quiet here so not much going on other than medications.

Fabulous Weekend

We had a great weekend. I worked Friday night so Cart went running and played the Wii (his usual bachelor activity). Saturday Cart helped a friend of ours move some furniture and then had football. This meant I had a quiet afternoon at home. The weather was divine! I love fall weather. So I spent the afternoon in my scraproom making cards, doing Layouts and then of course I had to go to work. Sunday was another fabulous weather day. We had all the windows open and cleaned house. i got a few hours of scrapping in and then our parents came over for some Chili. Yum!

The shots are going well. I am able to give them to myself which is nice. That means I get to sleep in when Cart gets up for work in the morning. I stop the birth control pills on Thursday and then a week later I start Estrace. It's getting so close.

Day 2 Injection

Today I gave myself the Lupron injection. Afterwards I looked at the vial and thought man that seems a little empty. And immediately wondered if I am giving myself too much. I actually think I am. So when I run to Pub.lix today to get stuff to make Chilli for tomorrow I'll be stopping by the pharmacy to ask my pharmacist. I do have an email into our IVF coordinator and she does answer them after hours but just in case.

Why am I confused? The calendar says 20units of Lupron. The syringes have lines and numbers all over it and at the top reads units above the numbers. So I've been filling the syringe to 20. I'm confused because on Wednesday I asked my Dr about them to make sure I was doing them right and he said to use the hash marks not the numbers. So yeah really confused.
