In my Thanksgiving Thursday post I mentioned something my BF Sarah did. Well in talking with one of her friends about infertility, her friend mentioned that she had friends that were looking to donate their left over embryos to a couple as they were done having kids.
After she mentioned that Carter and I talked and thought it would be a great option for us. So I did some research into the laws and shipping etc. Surprisingly it is quite simple legally at least in FL. What would we pay for...the shipping to our doctor here, the storage fee until we transfer, the meds before transfer, the transfer it self and the meds to help sustain a pregnancy.
Before we decide anything we'd want to know more about the couples, their history and any kids etc.
I think in one of my previous posts I mentioned that Cart and I hadn't given up on anything and thought we'd rather a "word of mouth" situation.
Funny thing is I'd heard of egg donation (in fact it was suggested to us due to my poor egg quality) but I'd never really heard of embryo donation. It's just another form of adoption in which I carry the child for 9 months.
Even if these two situations don't work out, we would possibly pursue this through an embryo adoption agency.
I have an amazing best friend and she's just awesome!

Date Night
Cart and I had date night tonight. We do this periodically but it's so hard to get dinner and a movie in when he'd get home at almost 6pm. With him working in his new position we can leave at 5pm. So tonight we headed to dinner and to the new theater in Flem.ing Isl.and.
Tonight we saw The Proposal with San.dra Bull.ock and Ry.an Rey.nolds. This movie is absolutely hilarious and we laughed several times throughout. It's a great movie. I'd highly recommend it to anyone! Oh and Ry.an Rey.nolds is easy on the eyes for all you ladies. ;)

10yrs Really?!?
Yes it's been 10yrs since I graduated from High School. I went to Stanton College Prep for 3 1/2yrs of my High School experience. The last half of Senior Year was spent elsewhere but Stanton is my High school experience.
This weekend was the reunion and it was serious a blast from the past. It was a 3 day event with a mixer at D&B Friday Night, a Dinner with dancing on Saturday night and a BBQ at Stanton on Sunday Afternoon. Although FB has kept me in touch with many of the people I attended HS with it was nice to see them in person and hear about what they are doing these days.
Here are a few pictures from that event:

Kitty Kitty
As seen by the pic on the side we have a very cute four legged friend. Harley is a very happy dog, well maybe I should say a very excited dog at anyone or anything that wants to play with him.
This week we thought we'd try to get a kitten as a companion for him. There was an ad at our vets office for a free kitten. So we picked up the kitten and brought her home. Harley whined alot because he wanted to play with her. But he scared the kitty with his excitement. So we played with her in our bedroom for a little bit while Harley was in the kitchen. Once she was done exploring in there we let her explore in the living room. She did fine and then she got a little too curious and checked out Harleys crate in the kitchen. Harley thought she wanted to play and she thought Harley was attacking her. The outcome she became even more terrified of Harley and started hissy at him. It then came to a point where she wouldn't walk past the gate to go to the bathroom where her litter box and food was located.
Not only did she not like Harley she didn't like Cart either. Every time he picked her up she hissed at him and finally she swatted at his face and gave him a nice scratch. So little Kitty went back to where she came from to search for a better home.
We have now decided no kitty's for Harley just maybe another dog for him to play with. At least we tried with the kitty.

Thanksgiving Thursday
It's Thursday again and time for what I'm thankful for.
1. I'm thankful that I have started finally participating in Thanksgiving Thursday, as I am more aware of my attitude and how I feel about things. Basically it helps me spin things into a more positive direction.
2. 10 yrs. It's been that long since graduating High School. Yes everyone will say I'm young. But I'll be going to my reunion this weekend and I'm thankful of the time I will be spending with old friends. It's a 3 day event and I'll hopefully get around to blogging about it throughout the weekend.
3. I'm once again thankful that I don't have to work 40 hr work weeks.
4. Also this week I'm once again thankful for my husband who is so understanding that I need to visit my Bestfriend Sarah in WA. I was able to book my trip for August and will meet her little man for the first time.
5. I'm thankful for my "internet" friends. My Secret Sister this week sent me a lovely decoration for my home and it's my favorite flower the Cala Lily. Once again Thank you Secret Sister ;)

Great Birthday Party
Dad and I had a good birthday again this year. Aside from Job/car troubles for dad we had a good time with friends and family.
Cart planned (well I should say I planned mostly) a party at his parents for my birthday and we included Dad as we share our birthday. This was held this past Saturday and despite the rain it turned our great.
We ordered some BBQ meet from my favorite BBQ place Bo.nos and I made my baked beans. We had yummy strawberry filled cake from Pu.bl.ix and the kids got to swim before the sky fell through.
I made out for a scrapbooker. Cart got me 2 new cartridges for my Cri.cut machine. And dad got me another one. That was exciting. Then I got money which I really need to decide what to get...more scrapbooking supplies, more cartridges, another table....oh the list is endless. Cart also got me tickets to see Ken.ny Ches.ney in August! I'm so excited for that concert. I've seen them before but looking forward to seeing him again.
I'll post pics as soon as I get them from the in-laws.

Thanksgiving Thursday
With 15 minutes left I remember today is Thursday and so another addition of Thanksgiving Thursday
Today I am thankful I made it through another year to my birthday. Although I was freaking out a bit about being 28, I realize I have my health, a wonderful husband, a job I like, my hobbies, my friends and family.
Why Freak out about 28? As I look back on the last 5 years when I was 23 and had just met my husband I realize how fast those years have gone. So I begin to think how fast the next 2 years will go and I'll be 30 and my 20's will be gone.
So I guess instead of dwelling on the reality of 28 I need to relish the rest of my 20s and enjoy and live it to the fullest.
I am also thankful that my dad has too made it to another birthday. Although at 55 he has his health and god willing has another 30 years at least to share every birthday with me.
