We received an email today from our agency giving an update. First they gave congrats to a family who had been "in process" for 2 1/2yrs...I think in process means from start to placement. Not sure.
Then they told us that they are currently working with several birthmoms, but they aren't "straight forward" cases. They stated that these BMs would be due in late spring, early summer and they would start contacting when things with them became "simplier" So we could be chosen by one of these BMs or we'll wait a little longer. Pray for the social workers and the birthmoms as they work together.

I know the waiting is so hard, but it sounds like you are working with a very reputable agency. it's best for the BM to wait until she's far enough along before she chooses a family. i so believe your child is coming soon! (Ps -- our wait was 7 months from being on the list, and we went through 9 (yikes) failed leads through that time).
